Brigade Valor Awards

The Valor Awards are the Brigades highest Awards and is given to the top Marines in the Brigades.  The Cross of Valor (BDE Marine of the Year), Sword of Valor (BDE Leader of the Year), Shield of Valor (BDE Volunteer of the Year), and Legion of Valor (BDE Unit of the Year) are awarded by the BDE OIC.  The Star of Valor (BDE NCO of the Year) is awarded by the BDE SGM.  Requirements for and specific information pertaining to the Valor Awards can be found in the Marine Force Manual. Recipients of the Valor Awards are then submitted as candidates for the Honor Awards to be awarded at the SMFC Annual Muster at the STARFLEET International Conference.
